About me
I am a pianist of over 15 years during which I have achieved my Grade 8 and graduated with a 2:1 music degree from the University of Manchester. My degree involved practical, theoretical and compositional modules covering solo and ensemble performance, classical analysis and jazz theory as well as audio manipulation and film scoring. Over the span of my degree, I developed a passion for the piano music of Chopin and performed many of his compositions as part of my course.

I was tutored by Andrew Wilde who not only is a leading piano tutor at the university but an established concert pianist. His knowledge and love for virtuosic piano has been passed onto me and allowed me to develop into the confident pianist I am today.

Since graduating, I have been working as a teaching assistant within the music department at The Manchester City College. Here I have developed myself as a teacher, through management of different levels of musicianship, preparing students for performances and explaining fundamental music theory to improve compositions. I have supported student’s musical journey by helping them progress through the different levels of their production modules and reach their potential.

In my personal time, I am an aspiring producer who is passionate in composing a multitude of genres ranging from RnB, House, Garage, Afrobeats, U.K. Rap and many more. I use my skills in piano to quickly think of new ideas for harmonies, melodies and basslines for songs, then developing them using skills I have learnt over past few years. With this foundation I can inspire compositional ideas in students with a similar passion and demonstrate how to build them into a whole piece.

With a versatile background in my practice, I have a reached a strong level of technical and expressive understanding within classical music as well as a deep knowledge in jazz.

By having me as your piano teacher, I will guide you to becoming a maturer pianist by introducing you to essential methods to help you structure your practice time efficiently. My piano tuition will also introduce you new piano music and ideas which will hopefully open new gateways for you to explore and grow as a musician.
