About me
I am a sixty-two year old musician with a wealth of teaching and lecturing experience over some forty years, from beginners to advanced and degree level students. For twenty-eight of these years, I lived and worked in Oxford – giving recitals, reviewing concerts, tutoring and lecturing. My musical tastes and affiliations are wide-ranging and various from Baroque music through to traditional Irish music, jazz and free improvisation.

I moved back to Keynsham in Bristol in the summer of 2008 and now combine composition tutoring at Birmingham Conservatoire with performing as well as working as a part-time Reflexologist.

My hobbies include golf, yoga, Ufology and wine. I think that's about it!

In my years of evening class lecturing, I have taught the piano to students of a wide range of musical abilities and enthusiasms from piano students with no knowledge or experience of notation, for example, through to very accomplished amateur players on different instruments.

In whatever musical area I have been involved with, my aim is to broaden and encourage the student(s) as much as possible, for them to realise their own path and journey in music. I am a very patient and empathetic teacher who strongly believes in the healing power of music. This sense of awareness and healing I have also developed through my study and practice of Reflexology.
