About me
Hi there! I’m Ebony a full-time piano tutor working with students of all ages and abilities. I have a deep and passionate interest in music, and my tastes span across many genres including rock, pop, jazz and classical. I grew up on a healthy diet of ABBA, which has fed into my songwriting and general creativity.

Upon leaving PETROC college, I was awarded two arts awards for successful grades in ‘Music Performance’. I studied a BA (hons) Songwriting with the University of Sussex where I received a scholarship and The EMI Music Sound Foundation award. 

My tastes in music translate to the broad range of subjects I teach, I have experience in taking students through the Trinity Rockschool syllabus as well as the ABRSM classical and jazz piano courses. In addition to these learning routes, I have a keen interest in teaching students how to understand to use the piano as a tool for expression.

Outside of teaching, I am a piano singer-songwriter and music producer currently recording albums with several different projects. I am currently working with producers of Gorillaz, Aldous Harding and PJ Harvey, and my music could be said to fit into the alternative rock genre, infused with a healthy dose of jazz when needed!
